General Assembly needs less partisanship

Thank you Sarah Gamard of Delaware Online for sharing my thoughts on how partisanship by leadership has suppressed good policy this year in Delaware’s General Assembly. Republicans like Rep. Bryan Shupe, R-Milford, worry that the power dynamics have stifled what they argue are agreeable bills simply because they are championed by the GOP.

“To see those bills not fail on merit or because of discussion and dialogue but because of what I see as partisan politics is not only very frustrating but it’s very disappointing,” Shupe said.
