As the Milford heads toward election day on April 26, it’s time to thank Mayor Joseph “Ronnie” Rogers for his decades of dedication to the city and its residents. Mayor Rogers was a true public servant who was tirelessly committed to our hometown. Thank you, Ronnie!
Now it’s time to elect a new leader, so it’s important to vote for someone who has the time and energy to be Milford’s ambassador, someone who has a positive vision plus enthusiasm and someone who has earned the respect of his peers.

That’s Bryan Shupe.

Bryan has a proven track record as a leader. He has a personal and professional vision for building on the groundwork laid by his predecessors. He’s also an entrepreneur who is familiar with economic challenges.
Look at his resume’ or the social media page for his campaign and read a long list of accomplishments. If there are questions about his priorities or political stance, ask him. He’s approachable and available.

It’s more important, however, to read between lines and watch how Bryan deals with people and challenges. Many people decide to start their own business, but Bryan chose to bring his education and experience back to Milford to benefit his hometown.

He is cognizant that Milford needs an able ambassador at the county and state levels to secure funding and support for continuing success. Bryan says he will tackle challenges associated with active outreach efforts.

Bryan possesses a gift that many seasoned business people would like to develop. He is able to collaborate and to reach a consensus among diverse groups. He is an active listener, and he is inclusive. He has a strong work effort, and he is focused on making Milford a better place to live, work, raise a family and age gracefully.

That’s why I hope other Milford residents, along with friends and neighbors, to their ballot to support Bryan Shupe on April 26.
