Delaware’s spending problem: Time to get serious about Fiscal Responsibility

If Delaware keeps spending more than it’s bringing in, we could run out of money to cover yearly expenses in 2 years! That’s not my opinion — that’s straight from DEFAC, the state’s own financial advisory council. 💸⚠️

This is exactly why I’ve been talking about overspending for years and proposing legislation to limit spending. Because once you’re in the red, the only way out is major tax hikes and major service cuts— and neither of those are fair to Delaware families. ❌

Why is it so important to limit state spending based on economic indicators? 🤔

Because the private sector IS the tax base — it’s where the government gets its funding! 💼💰

In the last four years alone, state spending has gone up 30%, while taxpayer contributions only grew by 18%. That’s not sustainable.

We need to make sure government grows slower than the private sector and cut wasteful spending — so we can protect taxpayers and create a path toward long-term prosperity. 📉➡️📈

Let’s spend smarter, not bigger.
